This artists name is Josee Gatien, she lives in Canada, this is the first of her paintings (an oil) that I have seen, I have the pleasure of looking at it every day as it is hanging on our living room wall.

I have seen quite a few prints and paintings of the Border Collie, but in the main they lack the feeling and expression that is the trade mark of the breed. On Wednesday 21st of June I met an artist, Julie Ainsworth, at the Cheshire Agricultural Show in the UK, she had a print on display called "A Curious Meeting" which caught my eye and in my opinion is the best that I have ever seen,you can see what the Border Collie is feeling, the curiosity in the lamb,you feel that you are there at the very moment of first contact, Julie's paintings epitomise the Border Collie more than any other artists that I have seen I haven't been able to get a copy for this page yet but I will, in the mean time here is a selection of some of her work, equally as good, I have seen other animals that she has painted she puts so much into them.
